KILIMANJARO - UMBWE ROUTE

PAMOJA SAFARIS

TRIP ITINERARY OVERVIEW

The Umbwe route is known as one of the shortest, steepest, and most direct routes to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a challenging and less crowded path, which makes it appealing for trekkers seeking a more strenuous climb. The Umbwe route merges with the Machame route on the third day and approaches the summit via Barafu Camp, similar to Machame and Lemosho routes.

If you’re lucky, you might even get to experience the Great Migration from the air! The perfect addition to any safari adventure, any time of year.

Gorilla Trekking

Search for the elusive northern black rhinos that inhabit the lesser-traveled areas of Serengeti National Park alongside a team of park rangers. By far the toughest animal to spot on any Tanzanian safari, the rhinoceros is known for being difficult to locate as well as notoriously skittish around humans. Our park ranger friends, trained to observe and protect the rhinos 24/7/365, will guide us to the closest population of rhinos so that we can observe them safely in their natural habitat.
