TRIP ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Prepare for an unforgettable safari adventure! We begin with an action-packed day in Tarangire National Park, where you’ll witness the majestic presence of elephants and the timeless beauty of ancient baobabs. Next, we venture to the legendary Serengeti for two unforgettable days. Relax in luxury at our campsite and be mesmerized by the epic spectacle of the great migration. The highlight of your expedition awaits in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, offering unmatched views of Africa’s diverse wildlife. Guided by experts, get ready for close encounters with nature that will leave you spellbound. This safari is more than just a trip; it’s a deep dive into the heart and soul of Tanzania’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

YOUR 5 DAY ADVENTURE

DAY 01

Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive in Tanzania via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where a Pamoja Safaris representative will be waiting outside to greet and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha City (1.5 hours).

Upon arrival, we’ll check you in and arrange a welcome dinner and trip orientation with your trip leader. (If your flight arrives late at night, we’ll schedule your trip orientation for the next morning or evening so that you have time to get a good night’s rest this evening.)

DAY 02
Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Karatu Town
Transfer to Tarangire National Park after breakfast (2.5 hours), enjoy a full day of game drives with a hot lunch around 13:00. Continue your game drive through Tarangire NP after lunch, and then head to Karatu Town (2 hours) for dinner and overnight. Along the way, we’ll have a chance to stop at a traditional Maasai tribal community where we will learn about their culture and way of life.

DAY 03
Karatu Town to Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti NP
After breakfast, we will depart from Karatu, head up and into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning and early afternoon safari, then make our way to Serengeti National Park, where we will make our way to our lodge in the central part of the park while doing game drives on the way.

DAY 04
Central Serengeti NP
Today, we will head into the central areas of the park to get a chance to view the Great Wildebeest Migration and many other animals. Overnight and dinner will be back at your lodge.

DAY 05
Serengeti NP to Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport

After breakfast, we will make our way toward the Seronera Airstrip, located in the Central Serengeti. There, we will board a light aircraft that will transport us approximately an hour to Arusha Airport (ARK), where you’ll be picked up and taken to lunch (time permitting). After lunch, we’ll take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back home.

Ranger-Guided Rhino Experience

Search for the elusive northern black rhinos that inhabit the lesser-traveled areas of Serengeti National Park alongside a team of park rangers. By far the toughest animal to spot on any Tanzanian safari, the rhinoceros is known for being difficult to locate as well as notoriously skittish around humans. Our park ranger friends, trained to observe and protect the rhinos 24/7/365, will guide us to the closest population of rhinos so that we can observe them safely in their natural habitat.
