SOUTH AFRICA
PAMOJA SAFARIS
BIG FIVE, MOUNTAINS, AND COASTAL WONDERS
South Africa is often called “a world in one country,” and it truly lives up to the name. Few places on earth pack in such a variety of landscapes, cultures, and experiences: from cosmopolitan Cape Town and its iconic Table Mountain to the dramatic coastlines of the Garden Route, the vast savannas of Kruger National Park, and the rolling vineyards of the Cape Winelands. Add to that a rich cultural tapestry, vibrant cities like Johannesburg and Durban, and a history that has shaped its unique identity, and South Africa offers travelers both adventure and depth in equal measure.
The wildlife here is world-class, with Kruger National Park and its surrounding private reserves offering some of the best opportunities to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—up close. Beyond the savannas, South Africa’s biodiversity stretches into unique ecosystems like the Drakensberg mountains and the subtropical wetlands of iSimangaliso, home to hippos, crocodiles, and countless bird species. Along the coasts, whales breach in Hermanus, penguins waddle along Boulders Beach, and great white sharks patrol the waters, making South Africa one of the few places where safari meets the sea.
The best time to visit depends on what you’re after. For safaris, the dry winter months from May to September are ideal, when animals are easier to spot and temperatures are cooler. If you’re heading to Cape Town, the Winelands, or the Garden Route, the summer months from November to March bring warm, sunny weather that’s perfect for beaches and outdoor adventures. South Africa’s sheer diversity means that no matter the season, there’s always something extraordinary to experience—whether it’s sipping wine under the sun, standing in awe at Victoria Falls’ South African side in Limpopo, hiking the Drakensberg, or watching a lion stalk its prey on the savanna.

Cape Town
Spend a week full of guided Safaris, seeing a range of amazing animals in the wild, meeting Elephants in the Tarangire National Park, exploring a volcano crater and visiting local tribes so you can experience the best of Tanzania.
